Academic Year Program
The academic year runs from September to May. During this time, Upward Bound students will complete the following activities:

Academic Advising (twice per semester)

Tutoring Sessions (weekly)

Student Workshops (monthly)

Educational & Cultural Field Trips (monthly)
Summer Program
During the summer program Upward Bound students live in the college dorms on Indiana Wesleyan University’s campus for six weeks (Monday-Friday) and participate in the following activities:
Summer Courses: Students will participate in academic courses to help prepare them for the start of the next academic year.
Tutoring Sessions: Daily study sessions provide an opportunity to get individual tutoring from summer instructors or subject-specific tutors.
Social/Cultural Evening Activities & Field Trips: Students will participate in activities on and off campus such as basketball, swimming, Skyzone, laser tag, canoeing, painting, bowling, board games, and more.

Cultural Trip: The summer program will conclude with a 3 - 5 day cultural trip. Previous destinations have included Washington D.C., St. Louis, Detroit, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Chicago.
